Our warmest congratulations are sent out to Barbara Brown Bundesen
'65 in the Lower School for her
commitment to Ursuline not only as a member of our faculty but also
as a dedicated alumna.

Sister Catherine Donohoe, OSU '36
A Wilmington,
Delaware native, Sister Catherine graduated from Ursuline Academy
in 1936. On January 24, 1939, she was professed as Sister Mary Henry
of the Child Jesus. Sister then earned her Bachelors Degree Fordham
University in New York. Sister taught in the Lower school here at
Ursuline Academy, and was known previously as Mother Henry. Sister
Catherine has lived in several Ursuline houses in the Province, but
loves the atmosphere here at the Academy. She is often seen tending
the roses in the rose garden next to the Convent.
Sister Catherine
is also a devoted Ursuline fan. It could be a sporting event, or a
concert and she is always there supporting the students. Another of
her charms is that she is so well remembered by her Ursuline students.
Barely a week goes by that she doesn't receive some floral or culinary
tribute at the Convent. She is rumored to know just about everyone
in Wilmington. Living the Serviam model, Sister Catherine continues
to serve this community well.

Sister
Marguerite Irwin, OSU '34
Sister
Marguerite Irwin came to Ursuline in Wilmington from Bethesda in 1969
and taught fourth grade in the Lower School until 1991.
She was an excellent and very affectionate teacher and her former
students loved to return to Ursuline to visit her.
One thing she was especially known for (and often teased about)
was her very courteous and perfectly orderly students.
Along with teaching, she was Mission Moderator and developed
great enthusiam for the Missions from the Lower School students.
During these years, Sr. Marguerite served as a member of the
Board of Trustees and gave great service to the school.
