Extended Day Program
Ursuline Academy offers an Extended Day Program, concurrent with the school calendar that provides before- and after- school care, as well as coverage on many in-service and vacation days. In keeping with Ursuline’s family tradition, Extended Day provides our students in Montessori 3 and Pre-K through 5th grade with a warm, home-like setting with opportunities for success in all areas of social, physical, emotional, and intellectual development. For information on summer coverage, please see Ursuline’s Summer Academy.
This option provides supervision before the school day begins for children age 3 through 5th grade. Coverage is from 7 am to 8 am.
Children from full-day school classes enter this program at dismissal and remain until pick-up at a pre-arranged time. This program is available for children age 3 through 5th grade, providing opportunities including study hall, indoor and outdoor recreational play, baking, and arts and crafts projects. For an additional charge, enrollment in additional after-school activities can be arranged. Activities may include ballet, tap, karate, gymnastics, soccer, basketball, sewing, drama, private piano lessons, pre-school laptop program, robotics, and more. The after-school program also includes coverage on school-wide half days and early dismissals due to bad weather.
We offer three options for after-school coverage:
2:45 – 4:00 pm
2:45 – 5:00 pm
2:45 – 6:00 pm
This option provides coverage for teacher in-service days, parent-conference days, Christmas and Easter vacations, and select school holidays, and this program is available to any Ursuline student, age 3 through 5th grade, regardless of Extended Day enrollment.
Space is limited in this program. If you have any questions, please contact James Greatorex, Extended Day Coordinator.
