We believe that
the foundation for this campaign is simple and straightforward: an Ursuline
education is unique and valuable, nurturing young boys and girls through
third grade, and creating strong, confident young women with a desire to
serve our world. Our students are curious and motivated; they possess a
spirituality that can only come from an education in the Ursuline tradition;
they are successful contributors, enriching lives. That record of successful
service is replicated time and time again, thanks to the determination and
positive ambition instilled at Ursuline. This campaign is about allowing
that legacy to continue.
Through the years, the Ursuline community has made good use of its facilities and equipment. In the 2005 – 2010 Strategic Plan, Ursuline’s Board of Trustees made a commitment to make major improvements to both the Upper/Middle and Lower schools and to expand into the newly purchased Arts Center. This campaign will allow Ursuline to make those changes.
Finally, facilities are nothing without a robust, engaged, and diverse student body occupying them. That is why it is so important for us to meet our need for scholarships and financial assistance to the Academy; by enabling more students to attend, we sustain the Ursuline tradition.
