Dear Ursuline Families,
We hope this communication finds you and your loved ones healthy in addition to finding moments of joy together in this most unusual summer.
We thank you for your continued support, patience, and understanding as we prepare to re-open Ursuline’s campus. We look forward to providing our students with the extraordinary learning experience you have come to know, while balancing a commitment to the physical and emotional health of our community during this unprecedented time.
As the campus re-opens for the 2020-21 school year, it will be done with a comprehensive plan to protect our students, faculty and staff. This plan is a set of actions that collectively will reduce risk and requires the commitment of all community members in its execution. Needless to say, we are beyond excited to get back on campus in a safe manner that allows us to build on Ursuline’s core mission of community and student empowerment.
We are pleased to share our reopening plans for the upcoming school year.
As we communicate our safety initiatives, updated Major Dates Calendar, and approach to instruction during the pandemic, we are confident in our ability to ensure uninterrupted learning for our students. We have developed a hybrid learning model that serves the unique needs of our families and honors the individual learning styles of our students.
After carefully reading the enclosed information, please complete the survey below by Monday, August 10th. The information gathered from the survey will give us important insight as we prepare to begin the school year. Your continued patience is appreciated as these plans will evolve as we evaluate and adjust based on your feedback, teacher needs, student experience, and guidance from the CDC and the State of Delaware.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss our reopening plans, please contact your child’s principal. Dates/times for upcoming Zoom Meetings for families are listed below. You can also stay up-to-date with reopening information our our Welcome Back to Ursuline website.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Insieme,

During these unprecedented times, Ursuline Academy remains committed to our mission, delivering a superior academic program and overall learning experience. Our top priority in reuniting on-campus is the safety and well-being of our community.
We are taking all necessary safety precautions and following State of Delaware health recommendations. Ursuline Academy will be ready for on-campus learning to begin as scheduled the week of August 24, 2020. We are excited to share an introduction to our re-entry plan.
Our Welcome Back Committee is diligently working in preparation to re-open. Safety protocols continue to be refined, using the most recent information and guidelines available.
Pending local or state-level restrictions, Ursuline Academy anticipates the 2020-21 Major Dates Calendar will proceed as published here. However, we are preparing for potential interruptions and may need to adjust the calendar accordingly. Changes to date are noted in red. You will be updated if any further changes are necessary.
Additional information will be shared in early August, including specific protocols and procedures. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the Welcome Back Committee co-chairs, Marie Ferrier and Jeffrey Danilak, or your division’s principal.
Thank you again for your continued patience and support.
