2022-23 UAPA Highlights

We reviewed 2022-23 school year's highlights at the UAPA Spring Social and thanked our many volunteers for their tireless work to enrich the school experience for our students, faculty, and parents.

Highlights included:

  • UAPA planned and/or supported events: 30+
  • Parents that volunteered during the 2022/23 school year: 150+
  • Number of new/modified events & fundraisers: 7
  • Amount of funds raised to benefit UA: $10,000

New initiatives included launching a UAPA Facebook Group, an Oasis Family night, Dining Out nights, Parent Guest Bartending event, a NYC Bus Trip, and a Hershey Park ticket fundraiser. The funds raised from these additional events helped support new ideas not originally in the budget, such as an Upper School Exam week coffee and snack bar, extra opportunities to stock the teacher’s lounges, fund a senior graduation gift, and donate snacks to school play concessions. This year, we added Volunteer Coordinator(s) to the Executive Committee and sent out a Teacher Wish List Survey to all faculty.

In the 2023-24 year, we look forward to creating a Grade Level Rep Handbook to guide our parent volunteers in each division, launch parent and student satisfaction surveys, organize more ALL-community events, create a structured outreach to newer families to make sure they feel welcomed and included in our community, and explore ways to support teacher wish lists. Thank you for your continued support!
