Student Life at Ursuline
As a service to our families, Ursuline Academy’s Lower School offers an Extended Day Program, concurrent with the school calendar, that provides before- and after-school care and coverage on many days the school is closed for holiday breaks and faculty professional development days.
This option provides supervision before the school day begins for children age 2.5 through 5th grade. Coverage is available from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m.
Children from full-day school classes may enter this program at dismissal and remain until pick-up at a pre-arranged time. This program is available for children age 2.5 through 5th grade, providing opportunities including study hall, indoor and outdoor recreational play, and other extra-curricular enrichment classes offered in the fall, winter, and spring.
We offer two options for after-school coverage:
2:45 – 4:30 p.m.
2:45 – 6:00 p.m.
Extracurricular Enrichment Classes:
Extracurricular Enrichment Classes are offered as an add-on to the Ursuline Extended Day Program. Three eight-week sessions are offered throughout the school year. External Educational Partnership Programs typically run these classes. Registration for these supplemental classes will be found on our CampBrain registration portal (if your children attended summer camp, you will use the same account). Classes include Soccer Shots, Graphic Design, Yoga, and Chess, to name a few.
Drop-in care is the perfect solution for families who need temporary care for their children beyond the traditional school hours before and after school but are not enrolled in the Extended Day Program. This allows families to utilize Extended Day at their discretion and can be shared between siblings.
The Holiday Program is available to all Lower School students. It provides care on days the school is closed for faculty professional development, parent/teacher conferences, and during holiday breaks such as Christmas or Easter. Like Extended Day, daily drop-in care rates are also available for the Holiday Program.
