Ursuline Academy of Wilmington is a member of a network of more than 105 Ursuline schools spanning the globe. Domestically, this network is represented by Ursuline Educational Services (UES), a collaborative effort of Ursuline congregations to carry their educational tradition into the future.
Our Early Childhood Program promotes Ursuline Wilmington’s part in building the rich legacy of the Ursuline Global Network through in-class lessons and special events throughout the year. By teaching lessons on our pioneering foundress, St. Angela Merici, and the Ursuline Network, your child understands there are children just like them learning similar lessons and skills in Ursuline Schools throughout the world. Because of the network, your child receives a unique perspective and early awareness on how the world works and why it is so important to be a responsible global citizen. One specific way our teachers convey the vast nature of global education is through our Spanish and Chinese Language and Culture programs, which reinforce our students’ role as active participants in our increasingly global society through language and world traditions.
As your child grows at Ursuline from year to year, our Global Education Curriculum will instill the importance of good global citizenry and respect for each other’s differences, while fostering the leadership skills necessary for academic and social success in the world.
