2024 Summer at Ursuline includes new and expanded offerings, like Discovery Cove for children 2.5 - 5 years (Montessori) and Wander & Wonder (with weekly field trips to various locations) for children in K - Rising 5th Grade. In addition, we offer Cooking at UA, UA Art Studio hosted by Art Teacher and local artist Corinne Pomeroy '02, Drama League Theater, Band Camp hosted by Music Teacher Kim Walton, Fashion, Chess, Basketball Camp hosted by Coach John Noonan, Culinary Camp (rising 6th -9th grade), and Volleyball Camp hosted by Coach Lauren DiSabatino, and more.

On The Mark lacrosse youth camp will implement fundamental teaching concepts that allows youth players of every position and ability level to improve all facets of their game. Daily progressions include fundamental skill-work, position skill development, unsettled play, competitive drills, full field play, team concepts & FUN! ALL PLAYERS will receive individual instruction throughout each day. 

NOTE: Camp is held at Serviam Field (DE-141, Wilmington, DE 19807) lacrosse equipment is not necessary to purchase if you are new player, we have sticks and goggles that campers may use while at camp and trying lacrosse for the first time. All players MUST supply their own mouthguard.

Three time DIAA State Championship winning coach Lauren DiSabatino brings her experience and expertise to this year's UA Volleyball Camp. It is her philosophy that fundamental skills and fun are the essence of great volleyball. This camp will be focused on the basic fundamentals such as stance, position, passing, setting, hitting, serving, and offense & defense.  This is an opportunity to increase your skills, make new friends, and have some fun!  

Announced February 29, 2024 : We are excited to share the news that longtime Ursuline friend Anthony N. Fusco Sr. has donated $5 Million, making this the largest donation in Ursuline Academy's history. The outstanding donation will provide for the complete renovation of Ursuline's gymnasium during the summer of 2024.

A week at Discovery Cove is full of adventure, exploration, and creativity. Children will enjoy building skills in the arts, sciences, music and movement, culinary arts, and socially/emotionally appropriate group games all while building new friendships and self-confidence.

This summer campers will Wander & Wonder. Develop resilience, confidence, and a collaborative spirit through a comprehensive variety of activities for intellectual, cultural, and physical enrichment.

Every week, campers will go on a different field trip where students will connect with nature throughout the Delaware Valley. Our young intrepid trailblazers will take on roles such as Scientists, Scouts, Field Artists, Cartographers, Surveyors, Geographers, Botanists, and Zoologists.

Campers will explore artwork as it relates to Children’s Literature, with a focus on collage, watercolor, and other mixed media.

Campers will be exposed to various works by past and current artists, explore movements throughout Art History and create artwork influenced by the methods and styles covered.

Chess Masters (Rookly Chess)

We like to think Rookly began when we were six years old and were competing on the Horace Mann chess team. Chess kept us close as we went to colleges on opposite coasts, and we want to share that love of the game with students at Ursuline, The camp at Ursuline will be taught by Amir Moazami, a former national scholastic chess champion, a graduate of Cornell University, and founder of Rookly. We hope chess teaches you to carefully plan and execute your moves, develop critical thinking and decision-making skills, and deepens your friendships - as it did for us!

A truly professional culinary program focusing on more advanced technique and skills in order to execute progressively more difficult recipes and service. All of our Culinary Camps focus on kitchen safety, proper knife handling, culinary techniques, and of course tasting everything, they make.

Molecular Gastronomy (New) - AN Advanced Culinary Program for 2024 - LIMITED SPACE!

Go beyond the boundaries of conventional culinary concepts by learning the chemistry of creating savory foams, caviar out of fruit and edible liquid balls just to name a few. Learn how to plate a dish like a Michelin star chef. This program is best suited for students with a true passion for the culinary arts.

Take an idea from concept to reality. Learn about design principles and modern sustainable practices. Focus on learning how to follow patterns and design and sew your own garments.

Become part of a team that will learn how to plan and run an international Young Women’s Symposium. Use Problem Trees and Infographics to define Symposium topics. Choose and book Expert Speakers. Design the Program Agenda. Promote the Symposium with other national and international Ursuline Schools to attend. Learn how to operate the online delivery platform and engage international attendees with online polls. Be part of a professional and truly impactful opportunity to engage Ursuline’s global network in the FIRST EVER student run URSULINE GLOBAL SPARK SUMMER SYMPOSIUM.

Culinary 101 & International Cuisine

In this week of camp, we will build confidence in the kitchen. We will begin by focusing on how professional kitchens handle foods safely and their techniques to make food so tasty. Budding Culinary artists will put together their own kitchen notebooks throughout the week that will include pictures, recipes, artwork, and safety tips.

Theater Camp - Stage & Spotlight

Drama classes are an adventure in theater communication and team-building. Exercises to improve diction, projection, stage presence, and physicality are building blocks for character development in the performance of skits and pantomime. The week will culminate in a scripted performance to dazzle one and all.
