There are so many wonderful opportunities for our alumnae to share their career experiences with our students, parents, and faculty. Contact Joanna Schumacher Arat ’99, Alumnae & Constituent Relations Manager, at 302.658.7158, ext. 6257 or jarat@ursuline.org if you wish to participate in the following opportunities.
Career Discovery Program: For this program, our school counselors help match current students with an alumna who might be interested or willing to have a student shadow them for a designated period of time (to be determined by the alumna). This program is focused on career and academic enrichment experiences, not to be confused with a full internship.
Alumnae Art Gallery: In 2013, the goal of a dedicated space with which to share the art of our alumnae was realized, with the creation of The Alumnae Art Gallery. The Alumnae Art Gallery hosts three to five Alumnae Art Exhibits a year, with each ranging between six weeks to three months. We are looking for working professionals or those who practice art as a vocation. If geographically possible, we also invite the alumnae artist to speak at an art class while their display is showing.
Alumnae Speaker Series: We invite all alumnae who are interested in sharing stories about their career and how Ursuline helped them prepare for it academically, mentally, or physically, to visit our Upper, Middle, or Lower Schools. We are flexible and considerate of your time and offer several different opportunities for you to visit. We can schedule you for a casual, lunchtime discussion, a classroom visit, a club visit, or as an all-school assembly presenter.
