Bio

Brendan Kennealey is the founder and owner of Nester, a web app launched in 2021, serving in the residential real estate industry. Most recently, Brendan served as Salesianum’s fourth president from 2011-2021.

Brendan began his career in education as a volunteer teacher at Nativity Preparatory School in Boston before becoming the founding principal of a Nativity Preparatory School in New Bedford, MA, in 2000. He then worked with the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales to start the Nativity Preparatory School in Wilmington, DE. Turning his sights internationally, in 2004, he founded the Benebikira Sisters Foundation (BSF), which raised awareness and funding for the Benebikira Sisters’ schools and health clinics in Rwanda. Brendan went on to serve as Area Superintendent for the Catholic Schools Office in the Archdiocese of Boston. He also worked as an adjunct professor at Boston College, where he created and taught the Social Entrepreneurship course.

In addition to serving on Ursuline Academy’s Board of Trustees, Brendan currently serves on the board of Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, SD. He taught Homer’s Odyssey and other great works for several years at Ganger Hill, a maximum security state prison. He received a BA in Psychology from Boston College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Brendan and his wife Nicole reside in Wilmington and have two daughters who attend Ursuline.
