Melissa Divincenzo ’94
Bio
Melissa is a corporate attorney at Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell, LLP, based in Wilmington, Delaware. She has been with the firm since 2001, advising on corporate governance matters and private and public corporate transactions. Her work also involves guiding Delaware corporations on the requirements of the Delaware General Corporation Law (DGCL), counseling boards of directors and board committees concerning fiduciary duties, and providing formal legal opinions on issues of Delaware law.
Melissa is actively involved with the American Bar Association’s Mergers and Acquisitions Committee. She is a current member of the Delaware State Bar Association’s (DSBA) Council of the Corporation Law Section. In that capacity, she participates in the annual review and preparation of amendments to the DGCL. Melissa was appointed by the Delaware Supreme Court and served on the Delaware Board of Bar Examiners from 2015 to 2017.
Melissa graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1994. In 2002, she married her Ursuline senior prom date, Eric Hohman, and together they have four boys, ages 8, 9, 12, and 13. All the boys began in the Montessori program at Ursuline (starting with the oldest in 2011). The oldest boys have since “graduated” Ursuline and attend Salesianum School and St. Edmond’s Academy. The youngest two still attend Ursuline’s Lower School. Melissa and Eric live on N. Franklin Street next to the former Gerardine House and have lived in the Cool Spring neighborhood for over 20 years. They are members of St. Anthony of Padua parish.
